9 to 10 day Zhangjiajie and Guilin scenic route: Shanghai / Guangzhou -> Zhangjiajie -> Guilin -> Yangshuo -> departure.

Day by day, matched to the route family.
The route below keeps the conversion promise clear. Confirm gateway timing, realistic transfers, comfort level, and which optional extension truly belongs before the route is fixed.
Arrive through Shanghai, Guangzhou, Changsha, or Zhangjiajie depending on flights, and keep the first night near the next transfer logic. Do not burn energy before the mountain springs.
Zhangjiajie / Wulingyuan first main spring: Yuanjiajie, Avatar-style pillars, Tianzi Mountain, Bailong Elevator or cableway by queues and weather. This is the must-protect dramatic scenery spring.
Zhangjiajie second scenic spring: Golden Whip Stream, Ten-mile Gallery, or lower-walking routes if the group needs a softer spring. If D2 visibility was poor, repeat the high platforms instead.
Zhangjiajie weather repair or extra Wulingyuan platform spring. This is the buffer that keeps the route from depending on one clear-sky window.
Tianmen Mountain or transfer buffer before Guilin. Use the cableway / Tianmen Cave / glass walkway only if weather and height comfort fit; do not fly out immediately after a packed mountain spring if the group is slow.
Transfer to Guilin or Yangshuo and keep the evening easy around riverside, West Street, or hotel recovery. The route should visibly shift from cliff-platform scenery to softer karst scenery.
Li River or selected scenic section to Yangshuo, then Yulong River / countryside as the softer contrast. Keep luggage and pier timing clean.
Yangshuo slow spring: Yulong River bamboo raft, Ten-Mile Gallery, village cycling / electric cart, cooking / family activity, or cafe-hotel rest by weather.
Depart through Guilin, Guangzhou, or Shanghai if flights are clean; use only one light morning stop before transfer.
Optional buffer for weather, slower pace, or international flight timing. Keep it near Guilin / Yangshuo or the actual departure city, not as a hidden third scenic region.
