DAILY ROUTE

Day by day, as this first-time China route actually works.

The route below keeps the classic spine intact. Confirm arrival timing, rail station transfers, walking load, and whether any extra city still leaves enough room for the route to feel calm.

D1

Shanghai arrival. Stay somewhere convenient for Bund / Yu Garden / airport transfer logic and keep the evening to a short Bund walk or hotel-area dinner. The route is designed for mixed energy, so do not start with a hard night program.

D2

Shanghai easy city day. Use Yu Garden / old city in the morning, then Bund / Nanjing Road / Shanghai Museum / Former French Concession depending on weather and interests. Keep the day urban and low-transfer.

D3

Shanghai to Guilin or Yangshuo. Fly or rail south, check in, and use only a soft evening: Two Rivers Four Lakes in Guilin, West Street in Yangshuo, or hotel rest. Do not force a full countryside program on transfer day.

D4

Li River scenery. Use Li River cruise or a selected scenic section to Yangshuo, then keep the afternoon light around riverside, town, or countryside hotel. This is the main scenery payoff and should feel slow, not rushed.

D5

Yangshuo countryside day. Choose Yulong River bamboo raft, Ten-Mile Gallery, village cycling / electric cart, cooking class, or a family-friendly craft by weather and the slowest traveler鈥檚 comfort. Cut high-climb viewpoints first.

D6

Guilin / Yangshuo to Chengdu. Transfer, check in, and use Kuanzhai Alley, Jinli, or a simple hotpot / Sichuan dinner only if arrival is not late. Panda Base should not be placed on this transfer day.

D7

Chengdu pandas and slow life. Go to Chengdu Panda Base early, then People鈥檚 Park / Heming Teahouse, Wuhou Shrine, Jinli, or a relaxed food walk. The day should prove Chengdu is more than a panda stop.

D8

Chengdu food / culture day. Use a market walk, Kuanzhai, Wenshu Monastery, Wuhou / Jinli, hotpot, massage, or a tea-house block. Leshan is optional only if the group accepts road time and steps; otherwise stay in Chengdu.

D9

Chengdu departure. Use only a light breakfast, tea, or airport transfer buffer. If the family wants Beijing / Xi鈥檃n icons, this is the wrong route family; do not add them at the end.

BEFORE BOOKING

Before booking, confirm the route still feels clean.
