Day by day, as this Southwest China route should be operated.
The route below keeps the Chengdu + Chongqing spine clear. Confirm Panda Base timing, high-speed rail, night-view windows, walking comfort, and whether Wulong or Leshan truly belongs in the plan.
Arrive in Chengdu - Airport pickup, hotel check-in, Jinli or Kuanzhai Alley, and an easy Sichuan dinner. No long excursion on arrival day.
Chengdu pandas and slow city - Early Chengdu Panda Base, People’s Park / Heming Teahouse, Wuhou Shrine, then hotpot or a food walk.
Leshan Giant Buddha day trip - Drive or train to Leshan. Use the boat view for the full Buddha perspective, add the walking section only if the group accepts stairs and queues, then return to Chengdu.
Chengdu to Chongqing - High-speed rail to Chongqing, hotel check-in, Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, and Qiansimen Bridge night view.
Chongqing 8D city day - Yangtze River Cableway, Liziba monorail, Kuixinglou or Eling Second Factory, Longmenhao / Eighteen Steps, and hotpot.
Chongqing departure - Add one light old-street stop only if flight time allows. Do not add Wulong on this six-day icon route.
